The revamp isn’t dead (honest)

written by Darryl — filed in Random Waffle

Despite any lack of noticable progress (yet again) the revamp of BritishMac.com isn’t dead. (more…)

St British Mac domain registration

written by Darryl — filed in Random Waffle

The domain name StBritishMac.com has now been registered and some initial content (just a holding page to begin with) will be appearing on them soonish.

Sam Green RIP

written by Darryl — filed in Pondering And Planning

Will’s faithfull K9 companion Sam has died recently and along with many others who have either met Will or listened to his podasts I offer my condolences. But why is this sad event relevent to a blog about revamping the BritishMac.com website you may ask. (more…)

Been quiet, but been quite busy

written by Darryl — filed in Random Waffle

Despite how it may look to anyone who actually reads my random waffling on these pages I haven’t disapeared off the face of the earth (or abandonned work on the BritishMac.com revamp project). (more…)

new home page image

written by Darryl — filed in Work In Progress

Having got delayed for quite a while I’ve finally set aside a few hours to GIMP together several images into a provisional new front page image for BritishMac.com (more…)

Missing deadlines and slipping schedules

written by Darryl — filed in Random Waffle

As may be expected, especially if you’ve noticed the lack of posts recently on this blog (and lack of changes or additions to the BritishMac.com website), the focus of this post is to explain that I won’t be getting work completed within the schedule that I was hoping to manage. (more…)

Pussy Cat Club

written by Darryl — filed in Pondering And Planning

My attentions are now being turned to the Pussy Cat Club (or British Mac forum if you prefer a more descriptive name).
Incase anyone hasn’t visited the forum recently, then I’d suggest heading over to http://britishmac.proboards.com and having a look around (and while you’re there why not register as a user). (more…)

Pizza Guide

written by Darryl — filed in Recent Updates

After taking far longer for me to get it done than should have been the case, Will’s historic Pizza Guide has had it’s links cleaned up a, few bits of code tidied (but left as original as possible) and now lives in it’s new home within the World of Will. (more…)

World of Will

written by Darryl — filed in Work In Progress

Progress is progressing slowly (despite the lack of visable evidence to support this claim).
The home page for the World of Will is still being tweaked, but is almost certainly going to be based around the town centre from Apple’s long deceased eWorld. (more…)

World of Will

written by Darryl — filed in Work In Progress

The first instalment of Will Green generated content which will eventually find it’s way into the World of Will has just landed in my inbox (or links to the files have anyway).

Long time listeners to the podcast will probably remember hearing about some of Will’s other websites from the past - and at least two of them are now going to be finding their way into the World of Will.

Having taken a detour and stopped off briefly at Worth Malvers I can confirm that Vodafone and T-Mobile both think the Square And Compass is in France. (more…)

World of Will

written by Darryl — filed in Pondering And Planning

When all is said and done, British Mac would not exist (or be what it is) without Will Green. The majority of content on the BritishMac.com website will probably relate to computers, products from Apple and the podcast. In contrast, the idea behind having a World of Will sub-section is intended to provide a location for absolutely anything Will finds interesting. (more…)

css image maps

written by Darryl — filed in Pondering And Planning

For the past few years, BritishMac.com has used image maps for the hyperlinks on several of it’s main pages. A major downside to these image maps for some website visitors has been their inaccessibility in non-graphical browsers. (more…)

Quick sitemap update

written by Darryl — filed in Recent Updates

Only a quick update to the sitemap (not to the way it looks I’m afraid - just to what it contains). (more…)
